Punk Rock Swap Meet is an all ages annual charity fundraiser helping underprivileged kids in LA County. Live bands, vendors, full bar with ID, food, door prizes, free parking, and more. Location is OLOV Hall in Canoga Park, California.

Q: What is Punk Rock Swap Meet?
A: LA Weekly called it, “an all-ages indoor swap meet and concert extravaganza. Expect a raffle, door prizes and the usual controlled chaos.” It’s a DIY punk show for charity. We’re a 501(c)(3) supporting underprivileged kids in LA County. We help sponsor two free children’s events annually.
Q: Who do I contact about being a vendor?
A: Our vendor tables sell out quickly. Message Bob through our Facebook page @punkswapmeet
Q: My band is interested in playing Punk Rock Swap Meet. What criteria do you use to pick the bands?
A: We like punk rock bands that draw large crowds and don’t complain much. Each group is expected to do their share to promote the event. We are always on the lookout for new talent. Send us a link.
Q: Are there ins-and-outs?
A: Sure. However, we ask that you not hang-out in the parking lot or surrounding area.
Q: I’m a chain-smoker with 20 years of nicotine blackening my already failing lungs. Will there be a smoking section?
A: We have a designated smoking area near the grotto. Light em if you got em. That’s our motto.
Q: How’s the food?
A: Punks say it’s the best in town! PG Tacos are great! Allen serves some of the freshest most delicious tacos we’ve ever had. It’s a scene favorite.
Q: When you say Full Bar with ID does this include premium drinks?
A: We have a variety of beers and premium style drinks available. If you don’t see it; just ask.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Punk Rock Swap Meet is an indoor event. We will be open rain or shine.
Q: How’s the heating and air conditioning?
A: Really? You Poseur! We have central heating and air. Hot and cold running water and flush toilets too.
Q: How long are vendor tables?
A: Approximately 8-feet in length. If you prefer a 6-foot table instead, let us know.
Q: Can I run power to my vendor table?
A: Yes. Just let us know in advance so we can find you the right spot.
Q: Can I sneak-in and set up my vendor table then pay you after I make a bunch of sales if ever?
A: No. Someone tried that before. Payment is due in advance.
Q: What’s with the door prizes? A: We want people to arrive early to get the best deals and support the opening bands.

Q: How do I get one of those V.I.P. laminated pass A: Everyone’s a V.I.P. at Punk Rock Swap Meet. Laminated passes are included with the price of admission. Go to the front door and purchase a ticket.
Q: How can we volunteer to help? A: Show up Friday evening to move tables and chairs or stick around after the show to roll up cords and clean up. Thanks!
Q: Is there a limit to how many raffle tickets we can buy A: We’ve never run out of tickets before, but it could happen.
Q: Can we camp overnight in the parking lot? A: No. The parking lot will be closed after the swap meet.
Q: Are vendors required to sign a release of liability? A: Yes. All vendors and their helpers must sign a release of liability prior to entering OLOV Hall.
Q: What time does the first band play? A: The first band plays shortly after the doors open. See the latest Set Times which are posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @punkswapmeet .

Q: How much does parking cost? A: Parking is always FREE at Punk Rock Swap Meet. Come early to get the best spot.
Q: Why does Punk Rock Swap Meet end so early? A: Punk Rock Swap Meet is an All Ages event. We want everyone to see their favorite bands. Most of our volunteers need to get up early Sunday morning.
Q: We don’t have a sitter and grandma has other plans. Are kids welcome at Punk Rock Swap Meet? A: Absolutely! It’s an all-ages event. Kids pay full price. Parents – please keep an eye on your children at all times. Tip: Bring ear plugs or hearing protection.
Q: Is there a Guest List? A: Yes. Each band member is allowed one guest. Check-in at the door.
Q: What’s this about a book signing?
A: Author Michael Essington has been a supporter from the beginning. He will have books for sale near the entry. Tip: signed books can be more valuable.
